"38 weeks tomorrow..." Posted by kelseyandbaby1 11 October at 23:05
And he's still not here...getting my head down a bit though...! As long as you make a few arrangements, (if you're up for them) they should keep you busy, and remember... They can't stay in there forever!!!
Maybe if we do go overdue ladies, we'll appreciate our babies when they come out even more!!! Lol Take care xxx

"Starting labour" Posted by honeymoonbaby 11 October at 17:42
While I understand how you all must be feeling I can't help thinking that we should all just be grateful if we manage to hold onto our babies until they are ready to come themselves. I'm sure nobody would wish to go in to labour before the babies lungs were fully matured and they were able to survive without being ventilated. Just hold on a bit longer ladies.

Its like torture now... I cant get comfortable, I cant sleep, I cant eat without getting indigestion or heartburn, I cant rest because I feel restless all the time. I just want this baby out of me! I want to be human again and normal. I am so glad other people feel the same!!! It is depressing me too. I am only 34 weeks, but am sure he is going to come early, I cant possibly hold out for another 6 weeks. Bu then again, I thought that the first time round. GGGRRRRRR!!!!!

there is a certain place on the foot that releases hormones that start contractions when rubbed....my friend had it done and she went into labour 20 minutes after!!!

"Fed up!" Posted by choliday1 8 October at 12:05
hi, you are still a bit early for nipple stimualtion, curries, castor oil, bath or even sex to work. i know you dont want to hear this, but when your baby is ready it will come although you could start drinking about 5 cups of rasperry leaf tea a day (from health shop) take this religiously!! also ask for a membrane sweep from midwife. this really works & if your baby is ready should work as soon as 4 hours after internal carried out. although midwifes cannot preform this until 39 weeks. so hang in there & keep drinking raspberry leaf tea to prepare womb for membrane sweep. i tried everything with first, from 35 weeks!! lol and still went 10 days over & was induced. i know its not what you wanna hear, but just enjoy your sleep. your life is going to change forever in a few weeks! x

"Nipple stimulation!!" Posted by dmc76 7 October at 23:22
I read that nipple stimulation works for some people, think you have to do it for about an hour though!!! Have you tried acupuncture or acupressure?? A long walk, a hotter than usual bath??
Hang in there! Donna
