with looking at women with nice neat little frames and figures with a nice little perfectly formed bump!
I think I maybe suffering from bump envy!
I'm not a huge las, quite small 5'2" curvy size 10-12 but I feel like I am the only one who has put so much weight on. I am 25 weeks & I've put on 2 stone already. I have been beating myself up about it which I know I shouldn't cos we are all diferent but I can't seem to stop comparing myself with other expectant mothers and feeling embarrassed about it. I even read an article in a well known preg mag and it said at wk 27....you should have to start purchasing maternity clothes now!!!!! wk 27?? I had to get maternity jeans at week 13?!?!?
I'm also worried I'll never be able to shift the xtra pounds after wards and my job will mean i'll have to be fairly fit and active.
There does seem to be a lot of threads in relation to lack of weight gain...is it only me????

I'm 16 and 38 weeks and i weighed 59kg when i first got pregnant, which is about 9stone10lb. I am 5'ft3"I feel like a fat loser now as i've gained 2stone. I weigh 70kg or about 11stone8lb. I miss my figure. My mum had my sister at 19 and she lost weight instantly, she got no stretchmarks, and it was the same for my sister, who had her son at 19 and her daughter at 20. I'm so jealous, because i got covered in stretchmarks. My mum boosted my confidence, by saying something very true about after the birth... Remember you push the baby around everywhere in his pram, which helps you to lose weight! I'm still hanging on to this... xx GOOD LUCK xx

and only 8 weeks. I am 5'7 and was size 12 but could squeze into 10 in some shops. Now after hospital weighted me on wednesday after being admitted with pains, i have gone up more then half a stone and already look pregnant. My tummy already has the round look to it and doesnt move when i walk. What am i going to do when i am 20 plus weeks plus i think i am carrying my sis in laws baby for her, she's just a week ahead of me and hasnt put on any weight. Its simply just not fair.

Don't beat yourself up about this! I'm the opposite of you, one of the 'lucky' ones who hasn't put much weight on at all but I am constantly being asked if I'm eating enough, am I even pregnant, blah blah blah and I worry that the baby isn't growing properly. At almost 36 weeks I think I've put just under a stone on and can still wear some of my pre-pregnancy jeans etc. I am 5'2" and was a curvy 12 before I got pregnant. I am always looking at pregnant bellies and comparing myself to them but we are all different, I'm sure you have nothing to worry about.

Hiya,
I've put on 2 stone and I am exactly 25 weeks pregnant. I am 5'8" and have always been a size 16, I weighed 12 stone 3 when I conceived and am now over 14 stone!!! I can't blame it on large boobs as I'm quite small (38B) and they haven't grown or changed at all, not fair...I was hoping to have a nice cleavage for a few months!!!! I am eating all the right foods and only doing takeaway maybe once every 10 days or so. I'm dreading trying to lose weight after little one arrives, I've found it soooo difficult to lose weight in the past. I have PCOS aswell which i know doesn't help! It's a little comforting to know there are other people who have gained similar weight at this stage. Hope all goes well

I'm 26 weeks and like you have put on over a stone and a half, and I'm sooooo fed up of people saying "Are you sure you've only got one in there?"!!! I'm 5"6 and a size 12 normally. I know how you feel about beating yourself up about weight gain cos I keep doing it too, and am wondering how much I'll weigh by the end if I carry on at this rate! I bought maternity jeans ages ago too!! Even my Mum keeps saying she can't believe how much I weigh already, which isn't really helping! I'm lucky in one respect though as I have a very considerate partner who loves my new curves, as well my old ones!!
As you rightly say, we're all different, and the important thing to consider is not your weight but your health. So concentrate on eating well & healthily and maybe do some exercise if you can, swimming is great for us pregnant ladies or maybe some yoga or light weight training. Anything you can do now will make it easier to get the weight off afterwards. I've also read that breastfeeding helps, not sure if you're planning to do this once little one is born?
Try not to worry, there are lots of us more curvy expectant mums out here than you think!! If you're still worried, speak to your midwife about it and I'm sure she will reassure you and give you some good advice.
Good luck!
