Hello to all you mummies to be!

Sorry if this post is a little too graphic, but i just wondered if anyone else had experienced this.

For the last few weeks I have been getting a tummy tightening at various times of the day - they do not hurt but my tummy goes rock hard for various different lengths of times. I assumed these are Braxton Hicks which can happen in the second trimester. I am 25 and a half weeks btw.

Last night I just couldn't get comfortable in bed and then felt something wet down below. I went to the bathroom too have a look and I had really thick white mucus down below and I have had a little bit this morning. It doesn't smell an is white/clear but just very thick. I also feel quite damp down below.

Has anyone else experienced this? I suppose I should go to the midwife but I don't want them to think I am being neurotic.

Any advise greatly appreciated. Helen xx

Heya hun,
I have had this for a few weeks now and as gross as it makes you feel it really is nothing to worry about, i had it with my previous 3 pregnancies too, just use a panty liner.

And the tummy tightening does sound a lot like braxton hicks, again nothing to worry about hun.

Take care
much love

its normal its just to your hormones changing or at worst a bit of thush (but that will start to itch if it is) i was told if you use a panty liner and its still quite dry after a while your fine but if its soaked thru get a check up, but its doesnt sound anything to worry about.
good luck
