hi ladies....as most of u will know..i had been in slow labour for a while...ha..since 26th sept.

i told u all the other day that midwife did a sweep for me on fri..which i was hoping wud start things off but by sat still nothing...in fact all had gone quiet.lol

Then sunday night i went to bed with no pain at all ...in fact i felt fine..was just drifting off to sleep wen...GUSH...my waters had gone.
Woke up my partner to be told are u sure?...(anit men silly, he even asked if he had time for a coffee..to which i screamed no at him..lmao)
We were lucky cause his daughter was here so she was able to look after the other three.

Got to the hospital to be told i was 8cm dilated and then they dissapered..lol..i think they thought id still be a while..
but no with the next contraction i needed to push..so mark...my partner went to get someone..

and then the fun began...i was pushing but they couldnt figure out why wen i stopped pushing he was going back up...i was pushing for about 45 mins(which is a first for me..normall 4/5 pushes and there out)...wen his head finally crowned...and the reason was clear the cord was around his neck so everytime i stopped pushing he was being pulled back up...poor lil mite...
I screamed at mark to stop stroking me..lol..as he was making me hotter..lol
but finally his head was out...now pant i was told...which i did ..and after another big push Zak was finally here...a bit blue but ok and a full head of black hair..lol

He weighed 7LB 15OZ and a half..(cant forget the half)
we stayed in for the night and all is well..apart from the after pains..(ouch) i still have them now and my midwife sed that him being my forth i will prob have them for another wk yet...ahhhhhhhhhhhh..lol
so i just thought id share that with u all..thanks for all ur support and i will still come on here to see how ur all getting on..and if i can offer ne help i will..now u all take care
and gd luck
louise and baby Zak..
xxxxxx

Hi Louise

Huge congratulations to you and baby Zak!

Sounds like you had a bit of an ordeal, but at least he's here now - and sounds like a bit of a heart breaker as well!
