Hi I was due on Thursday, and early hours this morning 2am, I woke up with sharp pains! I phoned the hospital and they told me to wait a wee bit! Then at 6am, they were getting more frequent and really sore! They told me to go to the hospital!

When I got there, they checked baby and my pulse etc and gave me an internal! Then said I was to go home, gave me pain relief and told me to get a sleep then see what happens!

Ever since the contractions have been on and off frequently but dont last long, I cant sleep and im in pain, also have that 'show' thing!

Does anyone know whats going on with me? x

This is best thing. Practise deep breathing through the contractions make sure youu get some food,i found porridge was fantastic! How often is the discomfort?
When i started having contractions they were 10 mins apart for ages then the midwife came out when they were 3 mins apart(i had home birth)How do you feel? very exciting.... good luck enjoy each moment its the most empowering thing !

hi hun..
YOUR IN LABOUR. but dont panick yourself, this could last until tomorrow or even monday. when ever your contractions are getting too painful to stick, or your waters break - get yourself to the hospital.
the midwife sees this everyday, and when she examined you this morning she was aware you are still a good bit off.
take it easy, and yes sleep. yoou could be up all nt!!

x
