"39 wks - bleeding....any advice please!!!"

Hello

Sorry for the detail but I dont know whether to be concerned or not...this morning me and my other half had intercourse and I noticed that I started bleeding afterwards. IT seems to have stopped now, could that just be because were not doing it all that often or maybe I wasn't lubricated enough...I am sure if something was wrong I would feel pain but I am not so maybe we were a bit vigorous or something...can anyone help or give me advice?

I havent had a show yet...but it seemed there was alot of blood for that anyway, it was enough to cover him and me!

Thanks Girls!

"Get it checked out"

Hi,

I would get it checked out asap if I were you to be on the safe side. Did your other half check to see if it was him that had bled & not you ?

Take care

i think with any bleeding you shoudl contact your midwife or hospital. when i was about 12 weeks i had some bleeding after intercourse i called my midwife and she said it could be post coital bleeding and if it persits and is enough to soak a pad you should contact hospital so if you had not bleeding since i wldnt worry but you should still check with you midwife

I did some reading up on Google and they say it is relevantly normal after intercourse or onternal examination....I will have to keep an eye on it today.

and was wold to go to hospital in case the placenta was coming away. It was fine and just a post coital bleed but worthwhile having it checked. I was told not to have any more sex for the rest of the pregnancy just incase. (i was 36 weeks at the time).
