Hi mums to be and bumps.
Hope your all doing well.

Im worried about the movement of my little angel.

A few weeks ago she was really active but over the past few days i havent felt her move that much.
Im 25+2 weeks gone. Its my first baby. I read that they dont have as much room to move about as the weeks go by but i thought that would be in the later stages?
Am i being paranoid or should i speak to my midwofe/doctor?

i was the same. i was 26wks and i had not felt baby move for 4 days. so i went to the day unit at the hospital and they monitored me and the baby. luckily everything was fine and she started moving as soon as they put the heart monitor on!

the midwife said that after 28wks is when you should be counting the movements but if you are worried then to go straight in for a checkup.

try laying down for a bit... thats what got my baby moving.

if you are worried then phone your m/w or go to the hospital.

take care

"Speak to midwife..."

i would call your midwife or even head down to admissions for a quick scan to make sure everything is ok. dont delay it as 26 weeks is the highest risk week for still birth,.
sorry for making you panick more - but its best you take this seriously.

go now & let us know. you never know, your little angel could just be a lazy one!

its perfectly natural to be worried. Thats what the midwives are for and its always best to contact them, mention it and they can always monitor you and see how baby is doing.

Its not painful at all and way less scarey than actually worrying over it.

Its all ways best to get it checked out though, and it will definately put your mind at rest hun.

Hope it all goes well,
Best Wishes & God Bless,
Natalie xxxx
"Reduced movements"

Hi

A couple of weeks ago the same thing happened to me - I am now 32+3 weeks pregnant.

I'd felt hardly anything for almost a week and was about to call the hospital and then all of a sudden she purked up again and has not stopped since!

You will find that your baby is actually moving all the time, although it's sometimes hard to feel it. Also, I didn't get lots of movements until I was about 28-29 weeks so I'm sure everything is fine. You are right about not having much room to move as the weeks go by. My sister said that when she hit 34 weeks, she did still get movements but these were less but stronger, like a definate foot or hand.

Instead of worrying like I did, perhaps you should call your midwife who will put your mind at ease straightaway.

Take good care

Dawn x
