I had my membrane sweep today at 1pm. It was a bit uncomfortable, plus my normal midwife was away so that also made me nervous for today. All went well though. I had my show not last wednesday, but the one before that (!) so no show obviously. No bleeding either, just had pains in my cervix for a bit after. We'll just have to see of this works, otherwise i'm booked for induction 5th November in the morning.

You all made me feel much more brave about going today and i thank you all! It's nice to have friends who care. My sister's kind of forgot i'm three days overdue and because i live with her and her two children, i sometimes get stressed out, as i feel like the housewife as i cook, clean and look after her two children as she's depressed. I find it difficult to cope sometimes, knowing i can't run away back to my Mum or Dad. (Mum's got a violent partner and Dad's still mad because i'm only 16.) I'm finding it difficult to get my own place, so me and Jakob are with my sister until i get that lucky day come when i get my own home for me and my little boy. It's all i want. I also want to go back to work when Jakob's a bit older, his Dad said he'd have him if i went back to part-time work.

I do go on! Anyway hope you and your babies are all doing well. xx K+J xx

Still no Jakob! I'm just on my birthing ball, rolling about hoping for my babyboy to change his mind about staying in my prison! Lol. Thought he'd wanna come meet me! Guess my womb's being good to him.
Don't worry about membrane sweeps ladies, they are uncomfortable, (especially when my sister was in the same room!) but it could help your babies come along.

The only thing i'm worried about is something happening to the baby... I'm really scared. I couldn't handle it. I still am panicing when he doesn't move for a few hours. Is this normal?

I am on the council waiting list, but they said no can do until i'm 18! I'm signed on with two other housing asosisations called Umbrella and Archway. They're saying 4-8 weeks. So not too long hopefully.

Hi Kel,

Glad it all went well yesterday, we are all behind you rooting for you!

You will get your own place soon, is it through the council? Just keep on ringing them up if you can to follow up the progress.

I will also pray to the angels for you and know they have everything sorted out for us. I can see a really nice place for you and your boy. You WILL get your own place because you really really do derserve it.

Big Hugs & Best of Luck,
Natalie xxx
Wish we lived nearer because I would definately be there for you!

Hi,

Glad it wasn't too bad. I've got mine on Thursday at 9.45 but I havn't had a show yet like you have.
Keep your chin up, you will have your own place one day, you just put yourself & baby first, we all got a big task ahead of us with labour.

Keep us informed how you get on, I will let you know how I get on with my sweep etc...

Take care,

Cath & 40+3wk bump x

P.S I am suffering with swollen feet & ankles at the moment, & can't get any shoes on !

i had one of those they are a bit uncomfy but no worse than being rather large and not being able to move much lol babies tend not to be quite so acrobatic in the late stages as they have hardly any room to move
