"Movements?"

Hi everyone

Im 27 weeks and my today midwife said i should be feeling my baby move 10 times in 12 hours. I automatically said yes as i do feel her kick a lot.

The thing is though, thinking about it, i get a lot of kicks but not really on 10 seperate occasions throughout the day.... and it is just kicks i feel not really movements like turning etc but she definatley can pull a punch! When i wake in the night she is usually pretty active so maybe this is why i dont feel it 10 times throughout the day??

Does anyone else at my stage just feel kicks, or do you feel actual movements as well? She kicks a lot of times but probably in stages; like a few kicks in the morning, a lot in the afternoon about 12-1 and a lot in the evening about 7-9 - does this sound normal??

Cheers

Kerry and Ava 27 weeks

your MW says that so you have a rough guide. only you will no if there is something up with your babies movements.
i didnt start feeling regular movement and kicks till i was around 28wks. i mentioned that to the MW bout how bump moves more at night and she said no you must feel at least 10 kicks/movements in the day.
one kick means one movement it doesnt have to be on seperate occasions thats what the MW said to me.

you will notice that she will get more active and you will feel movements in a different way.

try not to worry
stacey and 31wk bump xx

when i was then, i never got like 10 separate kicks a day, 2/3 at the most.
i feel my baby move, but i cant tell if he/she is turning or whatever, i just feel enough to know he/she is moving and doing whatever.

my baby used to have a pattern, 7am, midday, 3pm, 6pm then 10pm.

now at 32wk my belly just wobbles and can feel a prod and foot, a sometimes moving position but not much.
