as everyone has stated, its 40 weeks from the FIRST DAY OF YOUR LAST PERIOD.....
Which means your estimated due date is 3rd August 2008.
this makes you 5 weeks on sunday, 12 weeks on 20th january 08 & 20 weeks on 16th March 08!!!

Congratulations & good luck,
xx

huge congrats and welcome to the forum. they use the first day of your last period for your weeks and due date. so you will be 5wks on sunday. i wouldnt count the days till you have had your first scan cos it might change (mine change forward a date).
they dont need to no conception dates so dont worry about that. if you count 40wks since your last period date then thats your estimated due date.

as for scan you might be able to find out at 20wks (your second scan) if your hospital allow it.

take care

According to your dates you will be 5 weeks on Sunday. I would suggest if your cycle is 28 days long that you conceived on wither the 10th or 11th of Nov.

Congratulations on the pregnancy.

Congrats on your pregnancy and welcome to the forum... it's fab on here so never feel weird about asking anything at all....

You take the first day of your last period as the first day of your pregnancy and count 40 weeks from there to get your due date... so that would mean you're due around about 3rd August 2008 ( that is if you normally have a 28 day cycle... longer or shorter cycles would change the date either way )

When it comes to conception dates it all depends on your normal cycle length and if you ovulate at the same time every month... everyone is different but the Dr's tend to take the 28 day cycle as gospel and therefore use 14 days before your missed period was due to work out when you conceived... so if you were due 28th Nov you would have ovulated around 14th ish... so it might have been the 11th that did it (but its all down to individuals... you'll know a lot more when you see your midwife and have your first scan... so I'd say you're about 4 weeks pregnant)

Hope this might have helped a bit...but expect things to change... my due date has moved twice!

Anyway good luck and take care... it'll go over so quickly!!

Hi,

I know how exciting it is... I'm due on Wednesday with my first, I'm 25 in feb and cant wait to see my little fella... unfortuntely they cant tell the sex on your first scan, you generally have to wait til your 20 week one, and you only might find out then if it's your hospital's policy to give you the choice... some wont tell at all!!!

Take care
Aimee
