Hiya everyone...

This is just a total moan so I apologise in advance!

First of all... ARGHHHHHHHH!!!!

OH MY GOD, I am so fed up, these last weeks have been torture, my SPD is hell and pretty much leaving me housebound, I cant sleep cos trying to turn over in bed makes me feel like someone is stabbing me with red hot pokers, so apparently I am now nocturnal... I'm awake all night, usually crying in pain, and catching naps throughout the day. Plus I cant drive either cos I cant move my legs quick enough!!

I am so miserable and I feel awful and ungrateful because I know that before long I'll have my gorgous lil fella with me but it feels like I am simply loosing the will to live!!

Has anyone got any tips for dealing with SPD? I have a bump support thing and have found that being on all fours with my bum in the air allievates the pain temporarily but thats not a very dignified pose!!

I am so done carrying this weight around and feel like the Dr's at the hospital just arent bothered about me, they said at 38wks the baby was 9lb 5oz but they still insist on waiting before intervening.. I'm due on wednesday 5th but am going for a sweep on Tuesday but if that doesnt work I still have to wait til 10th before they'll consider anything else. The thought of having to wait another week is killing me. Then they sit with me at my last appointment and go through all the problems you can have with big babies.. then send me home for him to grow some more.... ARGHHHHHHHH!!

Basically I am having a really sh*tty time at the moment and this is the only place I can vent freely... my OH gets upset that he cant do anything to help and if I mention anything to my mam she starts to fret!!

Sorry this is so long...

On a bit of a more positive note on wednesday night I thought it was all kicking off, was getting pain every 15mins for 2 hrs... got my hopes up and everything... then it all went away again and not had any since... but I am hoping this shows its the start of it.... oh god please before 10th Dec!!

Lastly... how many of you have had a successful sweep and how long did it take to start your labour off??

Right thats it I'm done now...

Thanks for listening as always!!

Take care everyone

Aimee & boy bump 39+4

I'm only 26 weeks and for the past month it has been unbearable it comes and goes when it feels like it, i get a burning sensation in the lower of my back then my hip actually goes numb then i cant walk for at least 15-20 mins and getting out of my seat or getting out bed is a joke. When i ask my partner to help me it just reminds me of when greenpeace are hoisting a whale back to the wilderness teehee! but i find paracetamol and a buckwheat bag helps or if i stay in one position. But good luck with the labour hope it comes sooner rather than later ducks. Takecare.

im only 15 weeks but had my spd for nearly 8 weeks and its annoying me so god knows how you feel. at least it will be over soon. i had a sweep with my son i had it after dinner and by 5 i was having regular contractions. but if you dont take anything for the pain cuz if its your first its quite a shock and then take a walk straight away it should get you going but my friend had paracetamol and drove home and got in bed so it didnt start things off. good luck.xx

Hey i am so sorry u are in so much pain i no how u are feeling as i have SPD also but i am only 34weeks so still a bit of time left for me.
This is my 3rd baby. With my 2nd baby i havd a sweep the first sweep didnd do any thing so i had another a few days later. Luckily this one worked i was told if nothing had happened between 24-48 hours then it wasnt going to work but luckily it worked within 48hours.
They dont really hurt but are very uncomfortable but def worth it i will def ask for on with this baby if he is late.
Hope this helps.
Good luck
xx
