Does anyone know how to find your cervix?? im 40 weeks pregnant & getting a sweep soon. but app they dont work if your cervix isnt ripe!
i have went up there ..... but all i can feel is soft wet marshmallows!!!
sorry for all the detail, we do get desperate!!

im not sure if you could find your own cervix. have you asked your partner to try for you. i have a sweep tomorrow but im not due till saturday. on my other 2 babies the sweep never worked but im will to give it ago again to get the baby out.

i dont think its possible to feel your own...i may be wrong though, i think even the health pros struggle to reach it ssometimes so need the aid of speclum instruments. im supposed to be having a sweep on tuesday as today is my due date...not really looking forward to that but hey if it works im up for it! x

it is possible to feel your own cervix, if you are ready to deliver it will be lying low, about 3-5 inches inside the vagina.
it can be difficult to locate, but i doubt very much that that ANY midwife would have trouble finding any expectant mothers. tools are never needed for this!

a sweep will work, usually starting labour within 48 hrs, but as maybebaby5 stated
ONLY IF YOUR CERVIX IS SOFT.

the dr had to use one on me when i was in labour as well it all depends on the woman, i had a sweep also that didnt work even though i was very active and already 1cm dilated then again my daughter seemed determined to stay inside, good luck for both of you xxx

hehe...i wasn't fighting,was just cranky last night due to baby not arriving and didn't appreciate the comment thats all glad you got sorted though hun and good luck with the sweep, take care x x x

Hello everyone, Do you realise you've just made me a very happy girly. The first thing I thought when I read this was that you can deffo tell everyone on here is pregnant, hormones flying everywhere! haha No wonder our partners/hubbies wanna throttle us sometimes!! haha Imagine if you were a preg lawyer!! lol

Well this doesn't apply to me as I'm only 8 wks but couldn't resist reading cuz I'm a nosey old bat! Ive been really anxious over the past few days due to probs in prev pg's and this has made me chuckle for the first time in weeks - thanks ladies. Good luck with your sweeps and babies xxx
