Hi, I'm new here and never used a forum before. Im 13 weeks pregnant and suffered with severe vomitting from around 7 weeks. I have tried everything from accupuncture to ginger. I just can not keep food down already been admitted to hospital once and scared I will again. My work are not understanding at all. Im struggling to keep up with my 2 year old as when I get home I just want to curl up on the sofa and sleep. Anyone else feeling like this? Any tips to help?

Sorry to hear you're feeling so awful. I wasn't as sick in the early stages - suffered from all day queaziness/nausea but in the evening I was just so, so tired. This will be my first baby so luckily I was able to have couple of hours sleep when I got home from work so I do sympathize with you having to cope with a 2 year old on top of it.
Sorry I can't offer any help or advice but just wanted to let you know that I felt a lot better from week 14, wasn't as tired and able to stay awake until bedtime!

hi i was the same, its awful isnt it, i had to be admitted to hospital and was kept in for 2 days on a drip, they gave me tablets which helped alot, im not sure why they didnt give you any. Im now 16 wks and you might think it will never end but it does, i couldnt eat anything other than dry toast all day. I would go back to the docs and get some tabletsxx

Hiya
I forgot to put on there that I am on cyclexacine (spelt wrong)! have accupuncture every week and never take my sea bands off!
Sorry my message was so dreary last night it's all just seeming never ending. I had this in my first pregnancy all the way through just not as bad as I have been this time.
At work today after another night of throwing up and now we have no water so no flushing loo either. Not very pleasant!!! Think I might throw up over my boss' desk, we do not get along at all and he hasnt spoke to me since ive been pregnant.
Thanks for eveyones words of support, there must be a end in sight soon, only another 6 months to go!!

| | "Have you tried promethazine?" Posted by louisey2 3 December at 23:33
Hi there,
I did have morning sickness but not as severe, i'm now 18 weeks....I did try promethazine which has been around for so long that i felt safe using it (prescibed by doc)it is just a travel sickness tablet and kind of makes you a little tired but calms things down a bit. Sorry to hear you feel so ill, i hope it gets better for you. Have you tried travel bands and my old favourite- rich tea biscuits (constantly munching on them with little sips of water throughout the day) Hope this helps ... Lou & beanie xx

Heya Hayley hun,
welcome to the forum and huge congratulations on the pregnancy, I can't be any help with the sickness except to reiterate what Lis said in her post.
i really hope it gets better for you and that you can start enjoying your pregnancy, and again like the wonderful Lis said if you have any questions please feel free to ask, I am currently 29 weeks (tomorrow) with my 4th baby and i seem to have forgotten everything so im always asking questions and no one laughs at my forgetfulness.
Take care hun Leitia & Baby R(28+6)
