hi all, i had the panic of my life this morning, i've been awake since 5 o clock but couldn't feel baby moving, anyway by 8 after lots of prodding i still hadn't felt anything so was a bit worried so i used my doppler (which i havn't used in ages) anyway baby's heartbeat is fine and i've had a few movements since then,it is moving just not as much as normal...i dont know whether to ring the hospital or not cos i dont think they'll do anything because they say if you have ten movements a day then its fine but my baby normally moves that much in an hour...but then i keep worrying about what happened to poor natalie (natzcatz) when she went overdue. anyone got any advice? x

To put your mind at ease you should call your midwife or maternity ward, just so that they can reassure you a little ; you sound like you really need some reassurance here and it's part of their job to do that. But don't panic too much, you've heard baby's heartbeat so that's a very very good thing. I'm sure all is well, so don't put terrible thoughts in your mind now, it's gonna make you feel even more worried when there's probably no reason for it. Pick up the phone, call them and then you can relax a little.
Take care and let us know how it went.
