Hi, I've got my first scan tomorrow (friday), and I was told that I'll be there for about 2 1/2 hours, what take 2 and a half hours????

hi yeah i waited for 2 hours! it was awful am having another one mondy at 9.15 i am gonna run down there!

They are probably being realistic about how long you will have to sit in the waiting room!
One thing I have learned - always go for an appointment as early in the day as possible! I always try to get the first one...
