Hi all
Ok, so I gave up work 2 weeks ago and feel like the nesting instinct has really kicked in. I've organised the nursery, emptied cupboards, cleaned, washed, ironed and done charity shop runs. I know nesting is normal but I feel totally knackered but unable to relax until everything that I think needs doing before the baby arives is done. Problem is am I ever going to feel like everything is done and I am ready to give birth? Or, am I going to drive myself crazy and be exhausted in labour? Does this nesting instinct go away is I guess what I am asking or am I destined to find jobs that need doing until I pop??!! To be honest I'm starting to think that staying at work would have been less stressful!
Donna and 37 week bump. x

Hi Girls
Thanks for your replies. Looks like you either do the nesting think or you don't, trust me to be the one that does it with such gusto! Looks like I'm destined to remain tired! I've got a very busy week ths week anyway so I figure if I drive myself mad trying to get EVERYTHING (if that's possible) done then maybe I can chill out at Xmas and await my little one.
Lots of love Donna. x

I was nesting, i never got the nesting thing with any of my pregnancies, and oh how i wish i did my house is chaos at the mo, and there is plenty of tidying to be done but i just can't seem to get the energy together to do it...so any of those ladies out there who are nesting and have tidied all their mess away, i have a house full of mess that needs doing hehe.
Nah honestly though the closest i came to nesting was polishing my taps and draining board to within an inch of it's life the day before i had my 3rd baby...i spent a good 4 hours doing it as i wasn't happy with there being any marks on it at all.
sorry i can't be any help to you Donna hun, just try not to do too much, and delegate jobs that do need doing.
much love Leitia xx

i was scrubbing my kitchen floor tiles on my hands and knees 3 times a week i actually cleaned and polished that boiler water tank thing in the airing cupboard, then i went my mums and spent hours painting her gates cuz i ran out of stuff but something was still annnoying me so went see if it was summat there. then when i came out i rewashed and sterilised everything it was crazy, quite looking forward to it this time to say my standards have slipped is an understatement. i just cant be bothered, oh well itll get done eventually. xxx

I had my baby nearly nine weeks ago and im afraid you will be tidying up and cleaning constantly until you have your baby, then when your home, you will still be cleaning! Im like a mad woman, my house has never been so clean and tidy! I cant sit down until everything is done around the house! My partner thinks i need help, lol.
Congratulations and good luck with your labour and birth!
Natalie and Logan x
