wow,

Am now 14wks pregnant expecting no2. DD is only 7 months and she will be exactly 13 months when no2 arrives!!

any advice would be great. DD was in special care and had shaky start but now the happiest little chick any mum could want. Am quite daunted about breastfeeding again with a little one running around as know how all-consuming it can be in early days.

any one done similar??

Hi

I have had 4 boys within 5 years. The age gap between my 3rd and 4th are 12 months. I must admit I did s**t myself when I found out I was expecting again (especially so soon and I was on the pill) but after a couple of days it sunk in and I was looking forward to the birth. It was hard being heavily pregnant with a 4 and 3 year old and a baby (he was a big baby aswell) and I broke my foot at 7 months pregnant (was in plaster for 5 weeks). I am now expecting my 5th baby and if we decide to have another one after this baby I will be having them 12 months apart like my 3rd and 4th.

I have bottlefed all my boys so afraid I cant give any advice on the brestfeeding bit.

Take care

I will have 5 children under the age of 7 1/2 by the time this one comes!

Heya hun,

huge gratz on the pregnancy, my oldest son Charlie and my youngest Alfie are only 18 months apart, it wasn't planned that way but that's how it happened, and they are very close, people told me it was going to be hard but if im honest it wasn't as hard as i thought it was going to be, well im now nearly at the end of my 4th pregnancy so it couldn't have been too bad.

Good luck with it all hun, these forums have been a godsend to me and many others.
much love

Thanks for your message and its nice to hear how close your cousins are. I hope my two are the same.

I have loads of close family who live nearby. My Mum and Dad have both been amazing helping out with DD when she was poorly and whenever i need them. I feel really lucky actually as my Dad had a massive heart attack in Jan last year and nearly didnt make it to see his granddaughter. He still says it brings tears to his eyes when he thinks about missing her. She adores both of them. I also have my in laws who are close by and are a big family with loads of kids.

Feeling very hormonal today and writing this is making all tearful with happiness.

thanks again for posting a reply

I am sure your 2 will be.
Thats good as it sounds like you will have alot of support from all both sides of the family. Sounds like your dad wanted to hang around and put on a big fight for a reason.
As long as thats tears are with happiness and your dad is going strong, then remeber you have the right of crying, you have a amazing dad who fought to see his granddaughter, 2 children, sounds a good life to me.
Take care

congratulations on the pregnancy.
Sorry, i cant help you with that, but just wanted to let you know, just thought i'd tell you, my 2nd cousin was 50 weeks and a day old when her little bro was born. To start with my cousin had her man around for the first few months of the youngest ones life as he got sacked, (but wont recommend that), have you got anyone close to you (ie family member/friends), which would be able to help while your man is out working for the first few weeks?
My 2 2nd cousins are now 9 and 10 and are the best of friends, havent seen any sibling closer then them, the girl had her own room but they had to move her brother's bed into hers as he always went through and slept on the floor to be near her, thats how close they are.
Take care and good luck
