"Confused!! should i be scared or shocked??"

Started bleeding yesterday and with my history panic is not the word. So called the med centre, spoke to nurse, spoke to Dr told to wait over night and told what I should do if it turns into a full miscarriage.

Went to Drs this morning, had my HcG levels done tea and sympathy etc. bloods put throught as urgent, just had a phone call from the Dr about 30 mins ago and she told yes I am still pregnant and my levels are 96380.something!!! which she said put me at around 12 wks.

Now according to my maths Im 7wks tomorrow, which can either mean a very healthy pregnancy, a mis calculation in dates on my part or twins!!!!. Now I did miscarry twins last time but that was on clomid, this pregnancy was totally natural and not expected.

I do have to go back and have my HcG levels taken again on Thursday and then it will be taken from there onwards.
To say Im shocked is crazy I honestly expected it to be low 100-1000 because i was convinced I had lost it and Im still expecting it to go all pear shaped.

And the scary thing is my Dads a twin and theres been no twins since in our family, my hubbys uncle is a twin and theres been no twins since in his family either.

So does any one fancy having a wee wager on the outcome of all this ??? lol

Thats excellent news Gayle! You must be just delighted! Twins would be just lovely! Do you think they might do a scan for you on Thurs that way they will be able to confirm everything?

Hi ya,
My doc called me this morning at work and said that he had been told by the duty Dr of my results. He was pleased as punch and wants me to go for a scan next week after Ive had my 2nd HcG test done. Hes positive every thing is ok, and the results are much better than he thought. He did want me to go for a scan ASAP, but as im very anxious(bad experience last time) about them he agreed to wait after the 2nd test and he said he would give me a call on Friday with the results.

So ladies Ill keep you informed and cross what youve got crossable for me.

Mwahhhhh

had a bleed very early on in pregnancy when she went for scan it was twins! They are now very healthy and about 6 years old.

Excellent news that your levels are so high whatever. Try and chill and all the best for Thursday.
