Hi there, my first took 12 hours, my second took 2 hours and my 3rd took an hour. I was pleased it was over soo quickly, only thing was i only had time to have gas and air and she was 9lb 9 oz ouch!!!!

Im in fear of having this one as i know the labour will probably be shorter yet again, hopefully!! but as with all the others the pains were more drastic than the one before, hence thought i was gonna die.lol

They say it depends on what how quickly you have got pregnant again. My eldest is 11, my 2nd is 2, my 3rd is 1.lol Think im done for, no escaping severe pain.lol

Be a nightmare, but will be worth it.

Take care

on my 1st I was in labour for 31 hours, my 2nd was 8 hours, my 3rd was 6 hours and my 4th was 5 hours. Mine havent been to fast which in a way im glad of as I have a bit more time to sort a few bits out for the kids before I have had to go to hospital.

I enjoy the whole giving birth process it just that I absoultely hate the after pains. They get worse with each baby.

Everyone is different and all my pregnancies have been quite close together. My boys are 7(in 3 weeks),5 ,3 and 2. By the time I have this little one I would of had 5 babies in 7 and a half years. So I think I need a little rest after this one (if thats at all possible)!!

Anyway take care

Heya Nicki,

like you said everybirth is totally different, my first my waters broke on the sunday morning and i didn't have any pains at all, i was kept in hospital and my labour started at 1am monday they gave me an internal and i was 10cm dilated my daughter was born at 2:40am monday.

with my second, i woke up in labour with the overwhelming urge to push, made it to the hospital within 5 mins my waters broke and 2 pushes later my son was born, the labour lasted 1 hour 20 mins.

my 3rd was pretty much identical to my 2nd only my 3rd was 10 mins faster, i only had Gas and Air with all 3 as there just wasn't time for anything stronger, and i definately found that the subsequent labours were harder and more painful.

I am slightly dreading this labour as mine do seem to get more painful and my afterpains definately got worse with each labour...oh well it will be worth it in the end i just have to keep reminding myself.

hope it all goes well for you hun, but the chances are the labour will be a shorter one, still there is always someone who will be the exception so i hope you get the labour you are after.

much love
Leitia xx

im on my 4th baby and all my labours have been 12hours+ but only 2 or 3 pushes for babe so its just the dilation that takes me the longest. xx

just wanted to see what everyone else's were like im dreading this because im going to be induced on my due date or before depending on how the growth scans come out as my 1st was 8lbs 1 and a half then 2nd was 10lbs 1 and a half no way am i giving birth to a 12 lb baby lol i just hope this one is slightly longer than 20 mins gives me more time to get used to the pain if that makes sense, my sister has been saying she doesn;t know why im worried i sigh and the baby popps out i must make it look too easy pmsl hope your all well xxx
