Hello ladies,
I am 41+3 weeks
I had a sweep done at around 1pm today and since around 3.30pm I have been getting what I can only guess are contractions? They start off faint, build until they are quite uncomfortable and then disappear. Problem is that they are VERY irregular in length/space/intensity etc etc... Is this it or is it just like cramps from being interfered with? I am still bleeding a bit from earlier too, is this ok?
Please can anyone tell me what's normal??!!!

Thanks

Ruth

sounds like you could be in early labour!! keep waking around and eating so the contractions dont stop. if you have a birthing ball then get bouncing.

when i had my sweep i was already having contractions every 10mins so it just made them every few minuites. i carried on bleeding till i had her too.

good luck!!

Thanks for that.
Went off to bed around 1am and awoke again at 4am, they are still around 8-9 minutes apart and lasting for around 40 seconds so it's still too early to head off to the hospital I think? The bleeding appears to have stopped and there has been no signs of my waters breaking. Just praying that this IS it or I'm going to look like a right wally! Hoping to avoid being induced on Monday! This looks like it's going to be along one? It's my first and I'm so excited but also getting slightly nervous as to how i'm going to handle it all??!!!!
Wish me luck!!!!

Ruth
