Hi everyone I don't really post on here, but look on everyday to read about everyone elses problems and advice, I'm 13 weeks and 2 days and had my 2nd scan today, i was sooo looking forward to it but felt as if it was all a bit rushed, the staff were having a curry because someone was leaving and we had interuppted them during it! Considering i had the appointment for a whole month, anyway she kinda rushed through the measurments and told me everything was alright thankfully, and then we left straight after, thats not what I'm here for though, the past couple of days ive been feeling a prodding ( I'm sure its a kick, because in the scan 2day thats where its legs were) like movement in my lower abdominan i cant really describe it but i know its not wind and ive never felt this before when i havent been pregnant so i was just wondering if theres anyone around my stage feelin the same or anyone that has felt like this at my stage etccc please someone get back to me lol

alot of doctors i have heard say that it is not possible to feel movement at this stage. however i've seen alot of people say they've felt movement after 13 weeks and webmd says it also. i just felt it about an hour ago and i'm 13 weeks at four days. it was definatly not gas it was like a little kick out of nowhere! very exciting!

Sure you can feel baby movement that early. This is my third pregnancy and I could feel all of mine begin to move around 10 weeks (Sometimes even keeping me awake). Actual kicks you will feel a little later but earlier with each pregnancy. Every pregnancy is different. With my first, I knew I felt movement early but did not want to say anything because every one was telling me that I would not feel movement until about 16-18 weeks. I felt flutters with my first two and this one very early. I even feel this one kick and prod now and I'm only 14 weeks. But my doctor told me to expect lots of movement by week 14 since this was my 3rd. Hope all goes well for you and sorry your scan was so rushed. That should have been your time.

Hey all

Oh my god I thought if I told someone about this they will think I am stupid and laugh at me as I heard this is not normal! I am 11wks & 3 days now and I started feeling my baby....well its not like kicks but like a fish swimming around and I felt this 1 week ago for the first time and now it happens regularly. At the beginning when I had those feelings inside me it would actually make me throw up! I know that was TMI..but now I just love it!

i feel so much better now coz i know this is normal and im not the only one.

Good luck all!

I felt my Baby move at around 13-14 weeks. I am now 26 weeks and every midwife/doctor Ive asked tells me I MUST be wrong but i am SO sure. I was at a firework display after a party and as i sat looking up i felt several tiny fluttery movements that i felt regulary after that. gradually they got stronger and now i have a little kick boxer in there i am sure!!lol. Its a shame that you were treated like that at your scan. after all its an incredible experience and you had the right to feel special. good luck with the rest of your pregnancy x x x x

yeah, i think it is, i started feeling things moving about at 12-13 weeks, as it is my first, i wasnt sure, spoke to a few girls on here and they said it could be, sure enough after a few weeks the movements were stronger, so it was.

I started feeling tiny flutters, similar to gas bubbles but differant at around 12 weeks so i think it could be bump moving around.
For me it is my first and i was sure it was movements because they were all really low down (there the womb is) and i, like you, had never felt anything like it before.

hope this helps, i know some people dont feel a thing until they are half way through but then i have also heard of people feeling it from the same stage as you are now so all that can be said is everyone is differant and if you think it is movements then it probs will be!

you probably did, i think i was about 14 weeks when i felt the flutter p[epole are talking about.. because when i get kicked its certainly not a flutter? i wasnt feeling kicks until about 17 weeks, but im sure i had little movements down there at 13 weeks? something like that, its a nice feeling and its the only one i couldnt really put my finger on because ive never done it beofre? it might of been it xx

"Unlikely"

I think it is quite unlikely you'd feel any movements yet, I first felt a big roll which I'm sure was the baby at 18 weeks, started to feel this regularly at about 21 weeks, then gradually kicks and punches started...

it'll soon come around.

glad your scan went well and everything looks okay, even though you felt rushed.

best of luck with your pregnancy.

i'm no expert but i would say that you can't feel the baby kicking at 13 weeks, the baby has such a lot of room in there that i doubt it would still be lying in the same position as it was when you had the scan, i didn't feel anything until about 20 weeks and even then it wasn't a kick, more a sort of flutter......i may be wrong though.

Take care
