If you are not wantin to harm your unborn child do what youd do when trying to get healthy but dont change to drastically and all at once or overnight.Natural birth is the best option, im 16 and when i had my now 7 day old premmy im sure she would have had problems but shes helthy i thiought it was because of the natural birth but whatever you choose, just remember dont get to stressed about harming the baby or you could possibly harm it with all your strees and tension

Hi, I found out this morning that I'm pregnant, and am still quite shellshocked. I have yet to tell to tell my boyfriend, who has a three year old daughter from a previous relationship - not sure how he's going to react as his ex got pregnant deliberately to trap him - it's all very messy! I am actually quite excited, to be honest, although it hasn't sunk in. We have talked about having children in a year or two, and it doesn't seem real at the moment. Just wanted to tell SOMEONE! haha.

Hi, congratulation on the baby.. I guess no food will hard the baby, just eat the food which are healthy and nutritious as advised by the doctor.

hi - I just found out I am pregnant! and I am so excited!....my intuition was right. My husb and I are really excited and still a bit shocked. We just came back from our summer holiday which was intentionally supposed to be the start of the trying to conceive plan...we relaxed, laughed, danced etc so I am sure that helped a bit. I just wanted to share these beautiful news with someone else...I have calculated that the baby will be born in September...(Libran baby) I would be about 5 weeks pregnant if my calculations are correct - not feeling much just craps at night, a little bit tired (I thought it was jet lag), thirsty and a few headaches. Keep in touch! x Marslove

I've just found this site, as you do when you get this news. Had always considered myself to be above average intelligence but I now feel like I know absolutely nothing. I am one day under 6 weeks pregnant and also due in August, have just turned 29. Like you I feel excited but also nervous. Not sure about you but am already feeling a bit bloated and some trousers are already feeling a bit tight. Likewise any helpful advice would be greatly received. I would really like to know any questions I should be asking doctors?? What should you look for in a good maternity hospital? I was asked to choose at my pregnancy confirmation appointment!!
Thanks

For me I chose my maternity hospital by what I wanted. If you know you want an epidural right away and you want all the gentic testing you need to go to a maternity hospital that has that. If you want to go more natural and have a water birth or a natural birth then you need to find someone to accomedate that. I would go get a book on pregnancy (I did that in my first pregnancy) It can just make you feel more informed. It will tell you things like how your body is changing and what is normal or what should alarm you. It can also tell you how your baby is developing. I got what to expect when you are expecting and it even tells you what to expect from each doctor visit. Congratulations!! I am about 20 weeks pregnant and I also have an 11 month old. I love being pregnant and being a mom. It is really wonderful! I wish you luck and hope you find all the answers to put you at ease. Katie

Hi, CONGRATULATIONS! I bought one of those ovulation tests which i used this month only been trying since middle of November and my period is due in the next day or so, but i am so eager to do a test because whether its my mind playing tricks or not i really feel like i could be pregnant. Been on the pill for nearly 11 years so thought it would take much longer than this. I Shouldnt really get my hopes up but i just have this feeling. Congratulations again to you!

I dont believe i can be of much help to you're situation. Though i am the same way. I'm so scared thats something is going to happen and i'll loose my baby. I'm only 14 and hadnt ever planned to become pregnant so young. But, things change. Now, i've gone from dreading it to just being so scared somethings going to go wrong or what i'm going to do. I have little support from my parents and the guy broke up with me when he found out so yeah, i think you're doing a fine job. I've been told the more you worry the worse it could actually harm you're baby. The better you are mentally and physically determines how the baby is. I wish you the best in luck. eryn.

The cramps ar normal, they are just your uterus strethching to make room for the baby. I'm 8 weeks pregnant and I've had the period pain like cramps too, which have subsided for the moment. However i have had a change in my bowel behaviour too, which seems to happen every morning bright and early- it may also be a change in eating habits too, but i think it's normal. You're doing all the right things so far, just don't stress or worry and everything should be fine. This is also my first baby, and i can't wait for the scan! Have you booked a doctors appointment yet? Keep in touch! momtobe x

i'm also 5 weeks pregnant and seeing my doc tomorrow, done three tests so i know hes going to laugh at me again when i ask him to confirm it. I have some advice and thats is just relax, hard i know, over the past week i keep being sick and have a terrible cramp in the bottom of my stomach so its been really hard to take my own advice. Also try pregnacare supplements i had them last time and my son was born with the alertness of an older baby, trust in the fact that your baby is perfectly protected and they are quite capable of surviving car crashes and such, quite robust!

thought i would try help u all out a little here! obv opinions difer but for the post that said natural birth is best its completely up to you and how u feel! not anyone else or any doctors etc.. u decide ur on way. food etc.... most ppl will tell u to avoid soft cheeses prawns etc, alcohol has been a big debate also as there is no evidence to sugggest one or two units a week do any harm, so again i think thats a totally personal choice, do not stress out all the time about every little thing as that is not good! grab a good book on pregnancy, i would recommmend ur pregnanct week by week dy dr lesley regan and read up! for the post that mentioned cramps and a shoulder pain i would mention that to ur midwife. Also if its ur first baby u wont show as early, im 19 weeks and only just showing so be patient! it will be there soon enough! GOOD LUCK!
