Heya Ladies, i just got home from the hospital and all i can say is WOW thank you all so much for your lovely messages, so here is is...

I woke up at 5 am Saturday morning with a really bad pain so i got out of bed and went down stairs the next pain was a good 20 mins so i was all thinking it was gonna be another day of false alarms, anyway at 6:30 they had started coming every 10 mins and were defo getting stronger so i woke Jas up by 7am they were still every 10 mins so i called my mum and she said she would be right over and did she have time to catch a bus, i told her to catch a bus, i put the phone down and within a matter of about 5 mins the pains had doubled in intensity and began coming every 5 mins, by the time mum got here they were every 2 mins and Jas was calling for an ambulance.

I got to the hospital about 8am and the midwife didn't do an internal to see if i was dilating as i was having contractions every 30 seconds to a minute, she told me to go with what my body was telling me to do my waters broke on their own, and at 9:30am my body began to push, which was excrutiating and i kept trying to close my legs, but Jas and the MW held them open and 17 minutes and 5 pushes after that Harry Joseph Ravenscroft popped into the world, I managed most of it without any pain relief but as soon as i got to the hospital i was on the Gas and air which helped a little but i did find it easier to cope without.

Oh my god it was the most amazing experiance and i am so glad i went through it all, but i can safely say...NEVER EVER AGAIN!!

I will be sticking around for some time as there are so many of you who have a while to go before your little ones are here and i don't want to miss it...so you havn't gotten rid of me yet

So pleased your little man finally decided to put in an appearance! Sounds like you handled the labour and birth like a pro, huge congratulations to you and your family and stick around for a bit!

to you and your hubby! I bet you can't believe its finally over? How come once they are here time goes so quick? But when pregnant it goes on forever! I can't believe my little girl is a month old on Friday. Time has flown in a tired haze!

Is that definately it? My hubby is having the snip tomorrow. I feel a bit sad about it. But we both believe its for the best for financial and lack of room reasons. Plus the fact my last 2 pregnancies have been really hard.

I just had a look at the pics of Harry. He is gorgeous. He looks really strong. Our little un has been holding her head up since she was born too.

Try and rest a little. Easier said than done I know with 4 kids. Hubby is doing the night feeds tonight. Thank God I can't even see straight!

Big congrats on the birth of Harry - just saw the photos - he looks so relaxed and alert - adorable!

So glad things went smoothly for you and you were able to have your mom over in time etc.

Just come back from having coffee with a fellow prenatal class member (also first pregnancy) - she is due 18th and me 19th - we were discussing how you can never plan anything around birth (clearly we are now getting q nervous...!).

Thanks again for all the helpful advice and support you have given.

Glad to hear everything went well, after all these months of worry your mother was there on time to look after the kids, you didn't need the home birthing kit and you made it to the hospital on time.....and it was a boy after all!

Well done and congratulations once again.
