This i snot nice but I was wondering if this is normal or not... I had Ava 3 weeks ago and my bleeding has now slowed down, but I am now losing this yellowy liquid that smells really bad. I've got an appointment to have a swab taken monday and I dont think its normal just wanted to check if anyone else had this??

I haven't had this but sounds like you may have an infection, have you got a fever as well? I had Eden 5 weeks ago and my bleeding had all but stopped but I started bleeding again yesterday. Health visitor reckons that it's my period even though I am exclusively breastfeeding. Apparently it's unusual but it can happen. She told me to look out for for fever and feeling hot and cold and also smells which would indicate an infection from retained products (I had problems with my placenta which wouldn't separate) which is why I think you might have an infection, (but not necessarily from retained stuff). She told me to get onto the GP straight away and I would need anti-biotics if this was the case. Have you had increased bleeding?

So far I feel fine, I think it's a period but I would say that if you start to feel feverish or have a heavy bleed to get on the doc straight away.

Hope sorts itself out, these are the bits they don;t tell you about!

No i have had no heavy bleeding no fever either, but i have an appointment with the nurse on monday to get it checked out - thanks for the advise x
