I am leaving work at 37 weeks, I am also moving hous the day after I leave, which is a bit mad. But he's in the forces so I have to play along with where he goes. lol.
All the girls I know at work who've had babies have gone off around 35-37 weeks. But I guess it depends on how demanding or stressful your job is.
Sorry prob not much help!

i start mine at 36 weeks. i'm counting down the days now only 3 weeks and tomorrow to go.

think about 36 weeks seems to be the norm but i guess whenever you feel is best for you. I wish i could leave earlier as i have a long commute and its killing me but with antenatal classes/appts i'm doing 4 day weeks for the next 3 weeks so its not to bad but i need the money.

I signed off work at 32 weeks due to my blood sugars and pressure going a bit wonky, was due to go on holiday at 33 wks, then my mat leave kicks in on the 17th march.

I think anywhere from 33wks to 36 is considered the norm, but i would say see how you feel.

I'm being made redundant so have to go off at end of March when I'll be just about 33 weeks. It's earlier than I would have gone off if I wasn't being made redundant but I think it'll be nice to have the rest before baby comes. Already feel uncomfortable so dread to think how bad I'll feel in the future!

I plan ongoing on maternity leave at 36 weeks. I think I will probably be induced at around 38 weeks so that gives me two weeks at home to put my feet up.

You can go off as early as 11 weeks before your due date but personally I think I would go stir crazy being stuck at home on my own for that length of time, as everyone else I know would be at work.

you can start after anytime after 29 weeks, i am going on hoilday leave at 28+6 weeks for 13 days and then on the 14th day, going on to matty leave coz of my job, having to bend over alot, getting up and down from the floor alot and having to drive alot, which is getting uncomfy now. What is your job

well i found out i was pregnant at 5 weeks and told my boss, i work offshore and was flown off right away, and put on maternity suspension, as pregnant women are not allowed offshore, and i'm not allowed to work onshore as thats not my job title, so im at home on full pay until my actual maternity pay kicks in about june.

Hi there,
Was interested when I saw your message as I too work offshore. I have just told my employer that I am pregnant and was surprised when they informed me that they were quite happy for me to return offshore until further into my pregnancy ??!!
