"Rasberry tea leaf tablets - anyone taking these?"

Hiya ladies
I'm 40+2 weeks now, not getting too frustrated just yet, mind you, I'm having a sweep on Thursday so thats whats keeping me going for now. Just wanted to ask if any of you are taking the rasberry tea leaf tablets rather than the drink? I've been taking the tablets for about 3 weeks now, 3/4 per day. Not sure if they will work for me but I keep reading that everyone is drinking the tea rather than taking the tablets. Whats your take? Not that it matters now cos i'm nearly at the end just wondered what you all thought?
Thanks guys
Vicky xx

"Tablet question???"

I've just bought some to start taking them at 32 weeks. As soon as I walked in the health shop the woman at the counter said 'raspberry leaf?' so I guess I definitely look pregnant now!!!!

My bottle says 2 a day. Did your's? Or have you upped it as you got closer to your due date? Just wondering as don't want to take too few and it to be a waste of time! Am relying on them to give me a nice easy birth!!!!! I can dream I guess....

Let me know. I'm sure I've seen other posts on hear from ladies taking the tablets as they hated the taste of the tea. Maybe do a search and see what comes up?

Bye for now,
Anne

Hi
My bottle says take one capsule 3-6 times per day with food. Wonder if we're taking different ones then? They are from Holland and Barrett and called Good n natural, brown bottle with an orange label. I suppose they probably do lots of diff ones.
My midwife said only start taking them from 37 weeks, she was quite strict about it. I've read so many diff things on the web and people taking them from about 32 weeks, but I just followed the midwifes advice cos I always get paranoid. I don't see why you can't start taking them earlier though because they are herbal anyway and can't affect baby.
Good luck anyway

I've been drinking the tea, don't know much about the tablets but have read some stuff on other sites that says they both do the same job....that is speed up the second stage of labour.
Wishing you lots of luck with everything! You're doing so well not to be impatient! I'm counting the minutes already and i'm not even due til friday!!
Take care
