Hi,

I found out I am pg last week (so we think it's about 5 weeks). Although I'm completely elated I can't seem to relax. My worry that something is going to go wrong is taking over!

We told my parents yesterday (oh god you should have seen my Mum's reaction!!)but I feel that maybe we should have waited for a few weeks.

I've got what feels like period pains / trapped wind (sorry), that's heavier on one side. Is this normal??

A worried, teary, hormonal, getting fat,

Abi xx

When I found out I was pregnant again (this is my 5th baby) I had really bad period type pains (dont even get them when periods due) and they were so uncomfortable. The pain was going all the way around to my back. These pains are just your body changing. There is hell of alot going on in there at the min.

I said to my hubby that seeing as this is my 5th (6th as had m/c with 1st pregnancy), this pregnancy should be a breeze but I seem to have more pains this time round.

When you say about your mums reaction was she pleased for you or no?

Try not to worry too much (I know easier said than done).

Take care

I had quite bad stretching pains from about 4 till 9 ish weeks felt like someone had given my tum a good kick and pulled me plus trapped wind now im getting beaten up from the inside, aches nd pains are normal growth during pregnancy the only time to worry would be if you suffer pain with blood loss. Take care xx

My Mum's reaction was soooo funny. I gave her a Happy Mother's Day Grandma card. It took her a while to realise and then she went absolutely mental with joy. I thought she was going to flay her arms in the air and shout "Praise the Lord" !

It's nice to know it's what my body is meant to do. I've got a scan in about a week so hopefully it'll put my mind at rest.

Happy New babies to you both

xx
