Hi all,

I am 6 weeks pregnant and have been experiencing quite bad lower backache. I have heared this is quite common in mid to late pregnancy but not in early pregnancy so am a bit worried. Anyone else experiencing similar?

Im now 10 weeks pregnant but can remember having really bad lower backache around about 6 weeks so dont worry its perfectly normal. I still get a bit of an ache now but was definitely better by about 8 weeks. Make sure you sit/stand properly - correct posture really helps.

Thanks for that, it's really helped put my mind at rest. I'm such a worrier so was getting myself in a right state over it.

im constantly having bad back... midwife said its common sometime in early pregnancy as result of your body being used to period times of the month. If its severe or its really worrying you.. always contact your midwife... im so paranoid even the littliest twinge sets my mind wondering.. Take care.. hope i help! x
