3d scan

Had my 3D scan at the weekend and would recommend it to everyone..... Its very expensive but totally worth it.

I dont know how to post piccies - sorry. She was very cute, but we couldnt see one side of her face as she was hidden by a bit of placenta. They let you have all the still pics on a CD which you can then take anywhere to get extra copies for family etc. and a DVD of the whole scan (approx. 15 mins).

Plus you get to take up to 3 people with you which was lovely for both our mums.

Hope everyone is well....

?

how much did it cost? if you dont mind me asking?? and, how many weeks are you when they do it

Its quite expensive

It cost £165.00 and I was 28 weeks exactly when I had it done, which is the optimum time I think as if its done later the baby wont be moving around as much cos of lack of space...

If you have the pennies, I would def recommend it xx

Had 4d scan monday

This was the 2nd time of trying as last week she was lying with her legs over her face.
on Moday she had her legs by her face again but managed to get about 18 brill pics of her facr front on and profile. A few look really funny where you can see her right leg bent and covering her forehead and see her face in between!
mine was £170 and worth every penny cd plus dvd included.

Oooh

I would love to have one of these done! Will have to wait quite a few weeks more mind you to bump gets a lot bigger!lol We get a 3d scan done in the hospital at 23wks on the NHS, but I dont think they give you a dvd and you have to pay £10 for the photos, so I might look into getting one done privately as well. I have heard a 4D scan mentioned, wonder what the diference is in the two?

Hey

whrere abuts are you frmo? i think my hospital does this im in notts x

N.Ireland...we have sod all over here!lol I goggled it there and there is one in Dublin (3hrs away) and one in Kilkenny (a days treck)lol

Dont want to put the jinx on myself yet by looking into it too much, will wait to I get my 15wks bloods/tests over me next week for Downs/Spina B and then see how we are getting on. The DVD of babs moving around would be something I would love to have to show babs when they are older! Sharon xxx

Hiya sharon

The difference is that 4D just means real time so you see it as it happens as in the DVD you get of the scan. 3D is just the still piccies. Hopes this helps. xx

Ohh that would be cool!

Imagine having a dvd of little one moving about within the womb! Freakie at the same time cool!lol

Thanks for clearing that up for me! Sharon xxx

I can't wait til mine!!!

Hi,

I am really glad that you have posted to say how much you enjoyed your 3d scan. We are having one a week on Saturday (15th) and really can't wait! I was a little worried that the cost would out weigh the enjoyment but everybody I have spoken to seems to say that it is worth every penny - thank god as theres a lot of pennies in £195 isn't there!

Me and my partner have asked both our Mums to come and my Dad is going to look after our other daughter as she is only 5 and I didn't think she would want to sit around for ages - Grandparents aren't they great, ha ha!!

Hope you are keeping well too and take care.

Jo + baby boy bump 26 weeks today!
