9 weeks

Hi all
Anyone else on the 9th week of pregnancy...I am and it seems like my scan (booked for the 27th March) is ages away. I'm getting alittle anxious and really want to see my little bubba...anyone else feel the same..
I've also been getting bad constipation, really winding me up...and it hurts and sometimes bleeds when I go (sorry tmi)....is this normal..
Also - I had to call NHS Direct yesterday, as I have been suffering from headaches - did take paracetomol relunctantly though...any alternative ideas of easing headaches - I seem to have them everyday...apart from that everything else is fine and I just love being pregnant...although sometimes, I wonder if I really am...and then realise of course I am!!

Anyway, hope everyone is well and enjoying their little bumbs..

9 weeks for me too

I haven't seen the midwife yet, nevermind get a date for a scan and that is playing on my mind a bit. That said, I put a post on here yesterday and the replies have helped to calm me down. (I luuuurrrrve this site)

Haven't had headaches but sickness has gripped me. I thought I had it all under control by secretly chumping on Ryvitas but today I was working at a different office and forgot my stash. The result was sickness back with a vengance and me having to make a quick excuse to leave a meeting so that I could say hello to my lunch again - attractive!!!

Every time I feel really yuk, I remember that its a good sign and happily put up with it. In fact I panic a bit when I feel human for more than half an hour and like you wonder if I really am pregnant. Then the sickness starts again........

Luckily, no constipation for me but I reckon that's down to the Ryvitas and vast amounts of fruit i've been eating.

Hope everything is good for the 27th.

Im 9 weeks too

hey hun,

Im 9 weeks too and was suffering from really bad headaches too, felt like someone was pushing my head from all angles YUK thankfully they've stopped now...putting a cool cloth on the back of my neck or forehead seemed to help.

headaches seem to have been replaced with a constant feeling of yukiness tho...not exactly nausea but something like it? keep feeling like im coming down with something? Do you think its just pregnancy symptoms? Wish first scan would hurry up...sometimes i wonder if this is really happening at all!!

Hey there

I know the first trimester does drag by doesnt it! Im only 14wks now and I feel as if I have been pregers for ages!lol Might be the lack of wine in my life!lol

Constipation - up your intake of bran, branflakes with extra bran was what I was on at the beginning to get me moving. Also eat a lot more fruit! Prunes/prune juice also very good! At this stage I even notice my pooo is a dif colour (sorry tmi lol), so babs is taking what he/she wants out of me and leaving yellow poo! Wierd!lol Am going to start iron tablets as this might be a sign that I am low!lol

Headaches - yip mine started last week, quite like a migrane and as I never have headaches they are def pregnancy related. I took two paracetamol and had a nap and it went. Scoured the shelves looking for paracetamol only tablets!lol

Confirmation - once you get that scan it will all seem real. I was same as you needed the confirmation but wasnt due to get my 1st scan to 16wks, told them I couldnt wait that long and they brought it forward to 12wks for me. Since that I have had another one when I bled. Its great to see babs sumersulting around in there! 27th March wont be long coming round!

Headaches

Hi hun,

can't help much with any of the other stuff, only about 4 weeks pregnant so got it all to come, lol. For the headaches though if you have a chinese herbal shop near you ask for tiger balm. You rub it on your temples and forehead and it really lifts pain, bit like that 4head stuff you can get from the chemist but works much better. It stinks a bit, like Vicks but worth it if it works for you. It varies in price, between £5 and £10 depending on whether it's on special at the time but a small pot lasts ages as you don't need much. Feels a bit hot when you first apply but give it a few minutes to start working and you get a sort of cold mentholly feeling in your head and the pain starts to ease. Hope it helps.

Love, Clare xxx
