"I've ordered a cd" Posted by cherrybug74 7 March at 14:05
Hi - I'm interested in hynobirthing but can't afford the classes. So, instead I've ordered a CD which hopefully will help. They say you shoudl listen to it at least 20 times before birth. There are reviews on the website if anyone is interested!

I've been lent the book by a friend but still trying to work out whether to invest in the classes. It's so expensive it'd be nice to know if you thought it was worth it!
Hope you're enjoying life with your little girl.

I have been on the internet looking into this..and there is a practictioner in the town near to me! I might be a bit early to sign up for it, so was going to wait until after 16wks to phone up. What stage did you sign up for yours? I would love a home birth also, but as I live in a remote location, they are advising me that a hospital birth for my 1st at least would be best. Not totally convinced on this mind you!lol But I would still be able to use the Hypno birthing in the hospital as you say, but I wouldnt be guaranteed a pool for labouring in, which I really want, so not too sure. As I say its still early days, but I have strong ideas of the type of natural birth that I would like. Abigail did you put your birthing story on here in Sept? Must have a look for that.
Thanks Sharon 14+3 bump xxx

Hi Abigail
I'm due my first baby at the end of this month/beginning of next. I've been seeing a hypnobirthing practitioner and am planning a home birth. I really love the ethos behind hypnobirthing and have enjoyed the sessions I've been to.....as time draws closer to the birth, however, I'm getting a little more anxious....there are just sooo many horror stories out there about painful births, hardly anyone (other than the births I saw at my sessions)descibes their birthing day as joyful/easy! I'd love to hear more about your experience and keep in touch to let you know how mine goes too if you like. At this stage I feel all the positive support I can get the better! Congrats on the birth of your wee one. How are you finding motherhood? Laura (36 + 4) x
