Placenta at front...

Anyone else had their 20 week scan & been told their placenta is at the front. Mine is and i'm gutted as it's acting like a cushion so I am still not feeling any movements as such!! This was the same with my first, and I thought this time it would be normal but the MW said it must be the shape of my uterus!!! Looks like i'll be in hospital for constant monitoring again becasue I can't count 10 movements a day from 30 weeks!!!

Hey

I know how you feel, my placenta is at the front too. I didn't feel any flutters or movements until I was 23 weeks, and now I hardly feel anything, been worrying all the time. Im 30 weeks and 3 days and I still haven't felt a strong kick, gutted!

Me too

I have an anterior high placenta so although I could feel that there was something going on in there (started feeling little flutters around 15 weeks) I didn't get definite strong kicks until about 23 weeks. I now feel her all of the time, mostly either high up or low down but certainly enough to do kick counts by.

I had a day of reduced movement last week so have been keeping an eye on her but I would say today its not been more than half an hour between kicks/movement.

So I don't necessarily think you may not feel anything again this time round - as I say I feel plenty - I am almost pleased some of the kicks are being cushioned

Julie and a very active 26+4 pink bump
