Hello you lovely ladies,

Thought i would let you know what happened today.

Went in for my growth scan, she is fine, growing spot on.

going by her size she weighs 6lbs 11oz!

Anyhoo, the consultant was reluctant to give me my sweep today as they are happy with her, but we stamped our feet and got our own way over that!

The midwife went to give me my sweep, but could only just touch my cervix with the tip of her middle finger.

So my cervix is still high, facing backward, about 1 cm dialated, and its long and hard to medium, they give you a score out of 10 and i scored 3!!!!!!!!!!

I have to go back next tuesday to see if i have effaced enough for another one, and to see if they start me off with the pesseries.

I have tried 3 times to post what happened today, but it keeps coming up error!

haven't seen Karen (minxy) on all day, wonder whether the sweep worked wonders or whether they opted for chemical induction today after all, or maybe she just can't get online?

Karen is having her sweep today, so not sure if you're on about her or someone else, but best of luck to Karen, she may well have her baby in just days, fingers crossed it works before chemical induction is needed!

i really would like the chemical induction tho hehehe boo to the consultant (even tho she knows what she is doing) she said giving me a chemical induction today would raise the chance of having a c-section by 60% and they were not willing to do that
