Need some advice. I breast fed for 1 week but Freddy wasnt getting enough coz he so big!! Im coming to the end of the 1st tin of milk (SMA gold) and was wondering what ur opinions were of the best brand of milk as ill be buying more milk 2moro. Freddy has a few milk spots on his cheeks and quite dry skin. Does types of milk affect this. Wish i could breast feed, so much easier and cheaper!! lol!

I also use SMA gold and Olivias been on this since birth. Is Freddy happy on his milk?? Is it filling him??
If so then keep him on it. Only change it if its not filling him and its not agreeing with him.
Milk spots and dry skin are nothing to do with the milk its to do with your hormones that got passed to him in pregnancy. Just wash his face with mild soap and water and pat dry... and try not to leave his face wet from saliva etc. They should go in next few weeks but can take upto 6months. If they havent gone by 6months then see GP.
Its your choice on the milk. Olivia is having 5oz in day and 6oz at night but is going 7hours at night.I am going to change Olivias milk to SMA white for hungrier babies to see if she will sleep through abit longer. But shes never really been a hungrey baby and always goes at least 4-5hours in the day.
