| Thread started by: | "1st time and so scared" Posted by mariepierre1st 12 March at 23:46
Hi everybody, my name is Marie and this is my first pregnancy. Sometimes i feel so scared, i'm 12 weeks and my first scan is in another 5-6 weeks, meanwhile i fear that my belly is to big for the time i'm at, none of my pants fit anymore, since week 10, got to buy maternity pants. My boyfriend and i are concerned that there could be something wrong, even though the doctor said everything's fine and i heard the heart, one heart, i still worry. Is it all in my head ??? I can't wait to see that everything is ok for sure.
Any advice ??? Thanks.

I am sure everything is fine, I ballooned very early on also and was in early maternity wear at a similar time to you - but it was mostly bloating to be honest. Over the weeks I have settled down and although still looking (and measuring) big for my dates I have put this down to my usually small frame, I am only 5ft 1 and usually a size 8, I have gained some weight elsewhere but mostly its my bump, which is much more obvious than it would be on a naturally larger or taller lady.
Try not to worry - sure its all fine

I was just like you if not worse. I am now 24 weeks pregnant with a girl and everything is great. It is hard not to worry when the little one can't be felt yet and you wonder if he/she is ok. If you didn't feel scared you wouldn't be pregnant! Good luck
