Ive been suffering for nearly 2 weeks now with tooth ache. The dentist thought it might be my wisdom tooth & ive been referred to the hospital AFTER the baby is born to have it taken out and last friday she gave me some antibiotics - a low dosage of Amoxocillin to take for 5 days - which are safe to take. Yesterday was the first day that i had no pain, and took my last tablet at lunch time. When i brushed my teeth last night it made the pain appear again & i was also awake from 1 til 5 this morning in agony & with ear ache!!! I now know it isnt my wisdom tooth, but the tooth next to it & think it has an abscess underneath it as its painful when i bite down, feels swollen & a little loose.

What can dentists do for an abscess when pregnant? My dentist doesnt seem to like doing anything to me coz im pregnant but i cant go 5 weeks with this goin on. I rang NHS Direct this morning & she said they cant just leave it til after coz it will get worse. I have an emergency appointment at 11.30 this morning!

Natty & 35 week bump x x x
