"Had my baby ... more here"
Posted by overcookedstressed 2 April  at  22:35

well i had to be induced as they said i was having a rather large baby and i was overdue anyway. I had a pessary at 5pm but never got any contractions. was checked at 6.30 said i was 2 cm's and they could break my waters, this was done at 7pm. at 7.35 i pushed my little ( or not so little boy into the world) weighing in at 9lbs 15oz. Baby is doing fine and could be a prop for any rugby team in the country. Has a very large birthmark on his face 7cmx6cm was a bit upset at first but he is still my gorgeous baby.Have to see a consultant about it but whatever happens he has a bright future.

Congratulations hun! What a whopper!! Been told mine could be another big one, but Im hoping not THAT big!! Glad to hear all is well, and like Nicki said I wouldnt worry too much about the birthmark, some do fade quite a lot and others disappear. My son had one on the back of his leg when he was born and it looked massive, but he is now 3 and although its still there, it has faded loads and now is quite small as it hasnt grown with him. Enjoy your baby

Congratulations hun and i love the name you've picked.

My cousin had quite a big birthmark on her face when she was born, it covered her right eye and part of her forehead. She's 13 now and its totally faded. Shes upset by that though cos she loved the fact it made her different lol.
