Hiya all

I have just come home from lunch and girly afternoon. While out we talked babies non stop practically. Thing is for the two days I have very loose bowels. It is unusual for me to need to go more than once a day but I have to say this is not the case at the mo.
My mate told me that she had and was told that having loose bowels close to the end of your pregnancy means that you could go into labour at anytime!!!!! She did have her little one on time and only had loose bowels few days before hand.

Has anyone else had this or is this just another old wives tales?

Just thought I'd say thanks for the replies. My bowels haven't improved muchover the weekend and Braxton Hicks are getting fairly painful!!!! (I did clock watch them at first-got scared, but they were so irregular I ended up forgetting what time the last one was!!! )

Will keep all posted if anything happens. Hoping it'll be this week as OH is working close to home!!!!!

i had this from about 32wks. its just your body clearing itself out ready for labour. i had Olivia 6wks later.

My mate was also the same and she went 12days over due.

I had this too but in the end I put it down to the pregaday I had started taking for low iron!! Maybe it was maybe it wasn't! Jessica came a day early and this particular sign had stopped a good week or two before she arrived!!

I had this too about 1 week before i gave birth. Whether it means ull be have ur baby girl soon, im not sure! Fingers crossed ull be holding her in ur arms soon...and not pooing so much too!! lol!
