contractions carried on all day yeaterday went for a walk and had a bath which really helped. went to bed to try and get some sleep as had beenup for about 36 hours with only about 3 hours of broken sleep in that time. and guess what ahhh it all seemed to stop.
this morning woke about 6 with baby very heavy and low down and had a bath which started contractions again but only getting one everyone half hour or so. i'm about to go for a walk but any advice on how to get things moving? its just so frustrating either its happening or not but i can't stand this limbo.
thanks and hopefully things will pick up soon Lis x

"Hey" Posted by lisad11 5 April at 22:34
still at home went for a walk and had a bath that seems to have helped with bringing them on stronger just wish it would get a move on. still not in to much pain. is it wierd that i want to be...
had some goopy mucus earlier on (sorry TMI) which was some of a show but not the blody one yet and waters are still intact. just trying to keep it from all stopping cause then i'll be really annoyed.
can't believe its happening though just wish it would hurry up and get a move on.
how are you doing?

"U poor thing!" Posted by newbie16 5 April at 22:39
Oh Lis, I really feel for ya! Let's hope you get the next stage of pain soon. The first stage of labour is the worst apparently. I'm fine - tired and a bit fed up. Consider yourself lucky that it's all begun for you! How exciting! Keep us posted! x x x

"My" Posted by rachaelbigbaby 5 April at 13:31
contractions were all in my front, I had back ache, but that was just an achey feeling, the contractions wer just coming in my belly and were very easy to time, I am not certain that I experienced braxton hicks in my pregnancy and I knew what I was feeling in early labour were contractions straight away, hopefully it wont be long for you now. Good luck

"Im abit late!..." Posted by staceymy 5 April at 12:50
but to me it sounds like early labour. if you can time them easily and they are coming and going then they are probley contractions. when i first went into labour the way i saw it was i couldnt possibly been in this much pain and not be in labour.
keep walking and eating so they dont die down.
Good luck Stacey & 14wk Olivia x x x

"Hi lis!" Posted by newbie16 5 April at 01:05
Hi Lis, I'm 38 weeks today and I have been getting what you are describing also. However, I got to point out that they are not as frequent as yours. If I were you i'd ring the midwife. Sounds like the beginning of something! If like me, you have already experienced Braxton Hicks or false contractions then you should be able to tell the difference. if in doubt then ring someone babe! How exciting. . . . keep us posted if you're up to it! Otherwise, we could be hearing your birth story here very soon! Newbie16 x x
