hi ladies,
just need to get this off my chest as its been worrying me for ages ...

basically, i have 3 cats who i love very much but im constantly worried about catching this from them. My OH takes care of all cat cleaning duties .. the litter trays are emptied and disinfected every time they go toilet ( once a day with hot water and bleach ) the other times he uses domestos spray and wipes them down. He washes the kitchen and living room floors twice a day ( in case the germs are on their feet ) and all surfaces are disinfected also ( inc sofas which i wipe down with antibacterial wipes ).

He uses disposable gloves and washes his hands with antibacterial handwash afterwards, and takes care not to touch anything in between. My cats are indoor cats but they do go into the garden for a few hours a day, but still insist on using their trays.

I guess what Im asking is does anyone else have experience of this and do u think im doing enough to protect my baby ??

jo and blue bump - 38 weeks + 2 xx

You are being really really careful so don't worry.

I have a cat also and though OH has taken care of all litter duties since I got pregnant, he does this a lot less regularly than yours. We use litter tray liners so don't need to wash the tray and can just bag up the litter without really touching it.
