hello ladies, i had my boy tuesday 15th after my 4th prostin pessary and a drip to get me started, was starting to think it was going to have to be c section. Monday morning went back after failed induction at weekend had 4th pessary then at 17.30 doctor said i was only 2cm dilated but managed to brake waters at 19.30 i started to feel mild like period pain went up to labour ward, crapping myself as this was it, pains a little stronger and regular the midwife put me on a drip to get things moving and explained this would make contractions more intense, i managed to go til 1am then went for the epidural which was bloody fantastic, no pain what so ever. Babies heartbeat didn't like the drip when it was turned up so we stopped it for 3 hours he settled then they started it again in smaller amounts. They re-examined me at 7 am fully expecting me to not have dilated enough but to there suprise i was fully dilated, i had been completely pain free thanks to epidural. At 8.30 baby had moved down i stopped mself topping up epidural so i could feel and when the midwife saw contraction coming on screen and i could feel a wave of pressure i pushed him out, hour and half later my partner helped guide him out as requested in care plan cut the cord. Absolutely amazing can't stop looking at him its the most wonderful thing i've ever gone thru.Trying to breast feed which takes some practice not easy to do but we'll persavere. It was nowhere near as bad as i was expecting, i was dredding the birth but it was ok. good luck to all of you, kerry, dom and frankie john masarati. 8lb 9 by the way xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
