Hi all

after what i can only describe as a long first stage (1.5 weeks) i woke on Tuesday morning having really bad pains. by 8am, a bath and 2 phone calls to the birth centre i got there to find i was 3cm already. after coping with the tens i ended after 4 hours i was 6cm and on the gas and air which i must say got my rather high! i got in the pool and after a few hours it all went wrong. my waters went and there was mechonium and i had to get out, after finding baby was still over an hour away i was rushed to the local hospital by ambulance (10 mins from mking the decision the ambulance was there) blue lights, a bumpy ride and i was 10cm by the time i got there (only 20 mins from being examined at the centre) by she was stuck. after over an hour ofpushing she was not coming and then her heart rate dropped drastically and they had to get her out. so the next thing i know her was delivered by forceps with no pain relief and she was here

my beautiful Isabella Lorna weighing 8lbs 13oz yes that took u all by suprise)born on Tuesday 15th April at 8.31pm

it may be painful and not what i had planned at all (infact far from it) but worth every second of it for such a wonderful little girl.

can't wait to here some more stories soon and i will post pics over the weekend too

love to all
Lis and baby Isabella
