Hi girls,hope you're all good,

I remember seeing a thread for this a while back where a few people were talking about how you can get those stretchy bar things for pierced belly buttons, I was just wondering if anyone has tried them and actually rates them?

I'm thinking I'm going to have to take mine out soon, and friends of mine who have pierced belly buttons have all told me they took theirs out as they didn't fancy waiting to see what would happen by leaving it in....I had toyed with buying one of those bars but if it's going to make it all stretched afterwards I might just take it out...I haven't found anyone who left it in throughout....

Any tips?

Love N xx (12+6)

I kept mine in throughout my first preg (12 years ago) and had no probs at all.

I fact, I still wear the same one now (sounds gross, but I do clean it!) lol

I swapped mine over about the 16wk stage, and brought a slimmer bending hypo "plastic" one and its been fab.It doesnt hurt my "hole" and is not uncomfortable at all.Im now 22wks and there's still plenty length in it to see me right to the big day.
I brought mine from e-bay off a seller calle "jo- bananas".
Its clear with a pink heart set in the belly button bit and a pink crystal set ball.
I personally would recomended it.I hadnt taken my orignal one out for 7yrs and this change over hasnt caused any problems.

I kept mine in til bout 20 weeks. Then i bought a stretchy one, which was ok til bout 30 weeks. I then took it out, left it out and put it in and out every few days to keep the hole there. Ive had my little one now, and my hole(!) is fine! Got a normal bar through it. Got a big stretch mark through it tho, not sure if that had anything to do with the piercing.

Lots of love

Hi, personally i dont like them, i bought one but had to take it out at about 25 weeks as it was really hurting and was making the hole really red.

I havent tried to put it back in since but to be honest im not too bothered if the hole has closed up as i dont think ill be showing my bell yoff any time soon, and if i get my figure back i will get it re-pierced!!!

I think its personal preference to be honest, if you find them comfy then there great.

Hi

I kept a maternity belly bar in throughout my pregnancy and didnt find it to be a problem. Only had to take it out for scans a labour. They are very comfortable and im definately going to get another for pregnancy number 2.
