I just found out I was pregnant a few days ago, but because I am an abnormal ovulator, there has been some controversy over how many weeks I am. I should technically be 10 weeks, but the doctor thinks I am around five or so. They are worried because I unknowingly have taken Methotrexate (15mg/wk) while I have been pregnant. Although this is a low dose, they said this drug is acutally used to cause spontanous abortions. I had an ultrasound today, and the doctor said that either my pregnancy is really early, or that it is failing due to me taking this medicine, and that the embryo really should have been further along. I am really worried, I have been looking up studies online, many say that with a low dosage accidentally within the first few weeks, a healthy pregnancy can be maintained, but reslts are controversial. I was wondering if anyone had any input or simliar experiences and could help me out. I really don't want to lose this baby. Thank you.
