know it's a long time to wait til you see the midwife but mine was really thorough about what I should be doing and eating so hopefully yours will help put your mind at rest when you see her. Most of it's common sense really and you sound like you're looking after yourself so that's the main thing, just remember not to eat any dairy products that aren't pasteurised and make sure all meat is properly cooked, no rare steaks or anything. The midwife should give you a pregnancy book as well and I've found that really useful if there's anything I'm not sure about. Let us know how you get on with your appointments and stuff, got my scan on tuesday and it's felt like forever waiting for it to come round so know how you feel! Take care hun,

"Hi" Posted by glowgal 25 April at 09:03
have you had a scan already?
usually you get bloods taken at 16 weeks for spina and downs, then a 20 week scan, you can usually tell the sex at a 20 week scan, but some places its policy not to say.
whens your due date? as im also 14 weeks pregnant.
