"8-12 weeks, i was told"

Hi

I found out I was pregnant on Tuesday morning, I called my doctors yesterday and they told me I didn't need to see my doc but that I should have a midwife appointment between 8-12 weeks, to be weighed, have blood tests, given leaflets, etc etc. I have my apptmt 15th Feb and will be 8 weeks by hten.

Why don't you call your docs and ask them what they think? I think it varies by region, I'm in Somerset...

Hi, Congratulations!
Im 8 weeks tomorrow and have a midwife appointment on valentines day so i'll be about 9 and a half weeks when i actually see her.
I went to my doctor and told him i'd had a positive test result so he contacted the midwife for me.
""first midwife appointment""

Hi,
Your first midwife appointment is usually at 12weeks as this is when you enter the second trimester. Some people have appointments before but this is usually due to concearn. I would wait untill your about 9/10weeks and then book in for your appointment.

Good luck x

I have been worrying as i thought you were meant to see the midwife at 8 - 9 weeks. I called two weeks only and managed to get an appointment on the 13 Feb!!, by that time i will be 12 weeks.

Thank you for putting my mind at rest.
