WELL iM CURRENTLY 38 WEEKS AND 3 DAYS..i WENT TO THE DOCTOR THiSPAST FRiDAY AND i WAS TOLD i AM 1 CM DiALATED. SO ANY iDEA HOW MUCH LONGER?? LAST NiGHT i WAS HAViNG SOME SHARP PAiNS iN MY LOWER, LOWER BELLY. iT HURT LYK CRAZY BUT i WASN'T SURE iF iT WAS ANYTHiNG TO CALL MY DOCTOR ABOUT?? i JUST REALLY WANT TO HAVE MY LiL ONE ASAP!!! iM SO ANXiOUS, NERVOUS, AND EXCiTED ALL AT THE SAME TiME!

I'm assuming this is first baby? Yeah you could be dilated like that for ages, it's not much. If it's not your first, being dilated 1 cm could be normal way to be and not labour related at all. Your pain will start in your back and almost round the middle of your tummy. The pain you describe sounds like pressure on your very lower tum almost at your, ahem, delivery passage. You'll be hugging your baby all too soon and I'll still be counting the days till June 26. Good Luck

could be anyday now by the sounds of it onlyt hing i was 2cm dilated for 2 weeks before my daughter came along but she was extremely stubborn lol try having a tweak of your nipples and a bounce on a ball and see if it helps good luck xx

Hey I know how fed up you must be feeling as im fed up too!!

im only 1.5cm dilated and have spd and been having pains and pressure in the pelvic region for over a week now. I have had BH which have been painful and I hoped would turn to labour but never have! The head is fully engaged but has been like that for weeks, I think I will have to wait to be induced. The best way to think is to take your due date at the 42 week mark and anything before that is a bonus! I have spent the last 3 weeks waking every day hopeful I would go into labour and got very down about not having him yet, especially when you hear about other people due after you going into labour.
Labour seems to be either a really long drawn out thing that goes on for a few days or just really sudden.
anyway, good luck, hope you don't go over like me as its really frustrating!
