Oh, doesnt time fly!

Being monitored closely by the hospital at the moment as they think baby is on smaller side of average and my blood pressure 'once' measured high....to add to the list they think babys heart beat should be more 'erratic' when it moves around (i have been having CTG's-measuring heart beat and movements )

so today was in from 10am to 2pm.....and there was talk of induction again (scary!)they said my placenta has started to 'degrade' now (i should think so at 40 weeks!) so they will keep an eye on that too....

Ah well i would rather over-caution than under.....Gotta go in on Sunday too (sigh)I hope something happens soon so they stop prodding me!
Anyone else had this happen?

Hope everyone is well,

Lou & nearly 40 weeks beanie xx

Hi

im the same, in and out of hospital, all details in my previous discussion i put on here on Thursday. I am in again tomorrow for second sweep and to be monitored! I will be 9 days over due but the hospital are trying to put off my induction as long as possible, I dont know why to be honest, many people get induced before their due dates for a number of reasons so I dont know what they are holding out for me when im overdue! I put it all down to money and stuff!

anyway, best of luck Sunday, Im scared like you of induction but soo pleased I have less then a week now until its all over with

take care

Hi Girls,

I was induced day before my due date but only because my cerix was ready, don't know if thats the reason they do it before for you.

My experience of it was great, quick, but I know its not always like that!

Dont be scared its a very exciting time, cant wait to hear your birth stories, we havent had one for a while!

Emily and lily (9 days!)

twice. Once overdue and once before date. The overdue one went fine and the other one was pretty grim. I reckon if you're over date then the babies want out and that is why that one was no bother for me whilst if you're before date then the babies put up a bit of a struggle. By using this theory, you girls will be fine. Hope so anyway
