Hello ladies, as some of you may be aware, i had my gorgeous little girl 6 weeks and 3 days ago.

Well i stopped bleeding after 3 weeks, and everything seemed hunky dory, just waiting for af to show her head then things would be back to normal.

Well this afternoon after going to the loo (i warned you) i noticed that my mucous was jelly like and slightly brown, very much like a show.

I have not had relations with my husband yet, (much to his dissapointment ) and i was wondering if this jelly stuff is normal?

It does not smell, so its probably not an infection.

Have any other new mums had it? or am i the only one?

Any replies and advice appreciated as i tend to worry over things

Thanks in advance

Karen & Emily (6weeks&3days old)

blue one, first milk it says, so far so good, actually (tmi) pooing and weeing more frequently, so maybe she was a bit blocked up on the sma gold? xxx

Thats good then,
Emmy is getting over her constipation, the dr and the hv said to up the water content but not the amount of powder, hence being on 5ozs, but 4 scoops, it seems to be slowly working, but she has started screaming like she is in pain after a gold feed, but not the white, so i may move her to the easy digest one, whether it be back to aptamil or go to c&g.

Its confusing some times!

Perhaps she's just being a little fussy maddam, you tell her to make her mind up, or else get Daddy to have a word! ha ha.

I didn't realise you could change the ratio of powder/water you put in, probably only on the docs advice.

Have you tried cow & gate before?

No, she went on aptamil in hospital when she cracked both my nipples by sucking so hard (sorry, she sucks like a hoover) and i didn't think i was making enough milk as she was feeding every hour, so we were giving her the 1st stage one as complementry. She is a complete guzzler, but i am checking out different brands, i didn't realise until yesterday that farleys also do formula milk! you learn something new every day!

Yes, if little one gets a bit blocked up, (she was constantly straining with no results) then you can up the water content. as she was on 5ozs any way, i kept the water the same and dropped a scoop of feed. it seems to be doing the trick.

xxxxx
