hiya,

i'm 41wks+2 and the midwife has booked me in for a sweep on wednesday if our little girl hasn't made an appearence by then. glad to hear it's not too painful.
i'm getting quite intense practice contractions now but hasn't developed into full on labour as yet - hard to judge as it's my first but everyone has said i'll know when it's the real thing!
i'm hoping she'll come of her own accord as i will go in to be induced on friday.
we've also tried sex & madras curry & long walks to no avail as yet. we think she will probably come tomorrow as it's our first wedding anniversary.

good luck,
Trudi & Pink Bump xx

Hi all,

Went in for more monitoring and had another CTG trace looking at babys heart beat and movements...she also offered the membrane sweep which i thought would be a good idea...you never know! was a bit painful but only for a few seconds...

Going in Tuesday and they are doing a Doppler (looking at blood flow from placenta and growth scan)and if baby hasnt got any bigger they are going to induce me....scary.
Ah well, all for now...going to have lots of sex and walk around as much as possible now (had a madras curry last night too!)

Lou & 40+1 beanie xx

"I was told...."

....by one of the midwives that you would have to eat about 6 fresh pineapples in a day for it to have an effect (can you image the stomach ache...lol)
